Specification
Engine and alternator close coupled via stubshaft or coupling and
bellhousing. Silenced air intake filter, engine mounted circulating
water pump & water cooled exhaust system. Engine with forced
oil lubrication system. Constant speed governing to BS649 Class
A. All control circuitry wired and each set factory tested and sprayed
in heat resistant white paint. Dual flexible mounting system for
best reduction of structure born noise.
2-Pole brushless lightweight syncronous alternator. Robust construction.
Excitation via auxiliary winding and capacitor, inherently self
regulating. Stable voltage output under inductive load.
Good current-compounding characteristic which offers excellent motor
starting without overloading the engine. Power factor 0.8. Temporary
overload capacity momentarily up to 2 to 3 times full load current.
Radio suppression to meet VDE 0875 grade N and BS 800.
All
machines to comply to BS 5000, BS 4999, IEC 34-1 and VDE 0530.

Attractively
styled sound enclosure of substantial construction, combining the
use of GRP and Balsa Wood. Weight sheets are laminated into the
glass fibre structure to further improve acoustic performance. Noise
reduction is substantial, considering the small dimensions and low
weight. Cocooned sets incorporate all the necessary features to
simplify installation.
Re - cooling is affected by remote radiator and electric blower.
This unit can be installed in different locations on the vehicle.
The required power is obtained from the generator. An expansion
Tank is provided to make for a self bleeding cooling system. A special
dry exhaust silencer is supplied to make the generator exhaust system
quiet.
